Good evening all

Just checked in online for return flight to LHR tomorrow evening and had the 'we've had to change your seats' message! My guess is VIP comes in and demanded certain seats...we were in 4/5K now placed in 16G & K with very few options available for change due to a full flight! Have tweeted VS but don't expect anything back. Reminding me of Bretty's trip where he was lied to about the seat not working! Will let you know what happens....... >-(

It's annoying but it happens.

Happened to me last year. When I arrived at DTCI I asked what the score was. She went into the system and established the seat had been deemed inoperative due to a broken table. I said I was prepared to sit there anyway as I was next to friends so she put me back.

So don't assume the worst - it usually is due to a defective seat and if it is they'll block it out for paying customers and possibly stick a member of staff on standby in it instead.

I know, Gumshoe, I've got over it now! It was just a bit frustrating as I chose seats carefully as Mrs P isn't massively keen on flying but, hey, still in UC and not downgraded....yet
