Gosh it's hot here in Miami but I suppose that's why we come.
Arrived courtesy of American Airlines from MCO, can't comment too much on the trip in First as there was turbulence and thus no service. Plenty of knee room on the 767 and sat next to an AA Captain and we spent the time discussing American politics! He's voting Trump and wondered what the Brits thought about him >-(
Now esconsed in the Premium Admirals Club thingy, certainly not a Clubhouse but comfortable and plenty of room to spread out despite all the airlines using it.
Large selection of spirits and a few wines (all self service) but I haven't spotted any champagne! Food choices limited to salads, sandwiches, cold pasta, cuts of meat and two soups, one "loaded potato skin soup" which is a new one on me.
Although the flight leaves at 10 PM BA have emailed a copy of the first class menu on board, so if I can stay awake I might for the purpose of experimentation try the beef filet. :-P
Sweater at the ready in my had luggage for the arrival at Heathrow.

Have a good flight!

While the Premium Lounge at MIA isn't fantastic, it's better than the 2 real Admirals Lounges and the Club America lounge that VS use! The food is often quite tasty.
BA will soon be opening it's new dedicated lounge at MIA when they finally get some 'real' A380 gates (MIA doesn't have a properly designed A380 gate, just 2 gates mashed together! One of the causes to the BA A380 accident at MIA recently)

Hope you had a great flight home with no more turbulence !

Did BA First live up to expectation ?!

Hiljil, certainly excellent experience westbound, couldn't fault it.
Return rather different, guess whose "suite" was broken? Offered one in business cabin but refused, cabin supervisor very apologetic and said a representative would meet me at the gate in London to offer suitable compensation for the inconvenience, obviously there was no one there on arrival.
I should really get round to doing a trip report but with the washing and ironing to be done , well you know how it is! ;-)

That is disappointing Hazban. I assume the First cabin was full?

I hope you are going to pursue this? What was broken? The motor for the recline? If so, I would expect a hefty compensation, cash if you paid for a revenue ticket, Avios if it was a rewards booking.

But I look forward to your Outbound trip report when you have the laundry all in order :D

And I am sure hiljil will be keen to read it too as there are only 28 days to go until she flies First ;-)
