It’s the first time I have used this since BA moved to the new lounge but I am really surprised. Was incredibly busy getting into the airport to drop off the hire car and took ages to get through security (I did try to blag using TSA precheck lane now I have global entry but no luck), the skyroom is quieter than I have ever seen it, at best only 1/4 of the seats taken..... feels quiet eerie to be honest.
Food offerings are slightly better than usual, 2 soups, nuts, vegetables and dip but now fruit and chocolate too... some rather nice looking strawberries with brownies might be calling soon.
Glad I am not on VS16 which is currently due to leave at 23.20!

I was in the LAX Sky Club on Tuesday and thought the food had improved too - a really nice Thai chicken soup, mac 'n' cheese, the usual crudités & hummus plus some other canapés and fruit salad. Far better than I remembered it.

I feel fortunate having read your problems with security, passed through earlier that day to catch my AA connection to MIA. Ticket marked TSA Pre Clear but dummy that I am I missed that!
Through in a breeze but although flying first no lounge access untill Miami.
Watched the Virgin planes coming and going the previous night from my balcony at the Hyatt and that day they seemed to be on time.

I concur with the OP about the Delta Sky Club being notably quieter now BA, Lufthansa & others have moved to new Club MCO lounge. Back in mid-December I was also amazed how quiet the Sky Club was - you could find 4 seats together with ease and even have a choice of where you sat.

Didn't notice the supposed enhanced food offering, but in fairness I only visited the bar once. The table clearing staff now seem to double up as waiting staff and will offer to get you another drink from the bar if your glass is empty. The drinks offering has been slimmed down - there are two beers, a red and white wine and basic spirits for free. If you want anything fancier it's chargeable.

TBH, given that you can now seemingly get seats together in the Sky Club & with the slightly improved service, it does make it a hard call to make as to whether to take the voucher and go to Outback, or use the lounge. All depends on how big a lunch you had / how fast you want to try and sleep on the flight I guess. We always have a big lunch on the last day, so are happy to wait for dinner in the plane then try and get a few hours sleep.
