Good afternoon all

Am I correct in thinking that the following will apply, I’ll shortly be booking the following flights and wanted to know if my assumptions is correct.

LHR to SFO = 10,716 FC Miles (round trip)
In between the above I will also be doing SFO to HNL, this for me is where it gets a little complicated, it states on the Hawaiian Airlines web site that the reward for this flight is 2,500 Airmiles (I think) so this would total 5,000 miles.
Total miles earned for the complete trip 15,716 [:?]

Is the above correct and if so, can I book the complete trip direct VA and will I automatically get all the miles or do I have to register with Hawaiian Airlines to qualify for their part of the deal. Finally, what is the difference between, ECONOMY (M,Q,V,X,N*) and ECONOMY (Y,B,L), you earn 25% more miles with the Y, B, L, for the LHR To SFO legs.

I hope I have explained myself adequately and thanks in advance for any replies.

Cheers [y]

Hi Trev2283

You do not need to register with Hawaiian Airlines - as long as you have you VS FF card # against the booking they will find their way back.

The letter after the fare indicate the fare class - See here. Basically the more you pay the more flexibility you recieve - the Y, B and L fares are more flexible but typically an L fare will cost more. The asterisk after the N simply denotes that N fares have not traditionally earnt miles on this route but will from 01-MAR-06 (50% of miles flown).

Hope this helps.

You can also use this tool to make a calculation of your mileage...(use the "fully leaded" version to include partner flights)

(which reminds me, we'll need to update that post-March 1st)

VS can book you all the way but check out other sites first, we managed to bag ourselved return trans pacific plus four internals in first for £900 each!!!

And flying with HA for more than 2000 miles means you get a tier point for each flight in economy.
