I was using the reward seat checker to keep an eye on availability while I waited for some virgin points to come through.
At the last minute the availability on the reward seat checker disappeared. I was pretty gutted as you would expect, but I thought I would search for the seat on the VA website anyway.
To my surprise, it was still available and I was able to complete my booking.
Something to keep in mind in future, always check both sites.
