Interesting discussion.
Speaking purely personally, as someone who has been to the USA well over 50 times - at least once a year since 1987 (covid years aside) and was obviously a huge VS fan and frequent flier, I am afraid the USA has completely lost its appeal and I can't see us going again, unless things change drastically.
The reasons are mainly to do with two things - politics and prices!
V-Flyer is not, and never has been, a political discussion board; but the things that one man has done to harm the appeal of the once great place to visit are too numerous to list, and the whole 'hatred and reprisals to everyone who doesn't bow down to me' ethos has done for me.
Add to this, the massive rise in prices across the board (particularity clothes, electronics and eating out), the fentanyl (and other drug) problems and a general decline in the VS offering (particularly from Flying Club and food service points of view) - a USA trip is no longer appealing in any way shape or form!
In the past few years we have started to travel to Asia and 'Down Under 'a lot more and, even though there are 'issues' wherever you go - these destinations are a lot more welcoming; and more enjoyable that the US. I hope VS do actually make it to ICN, and that they look to open routes to other Asian destinations - I think if they rely on US travel, then they are in bother.
Purely personal observations and thoughts.
