Hi manymiles,
There are quite a few discussions on this topic in the Clubhouse section, where the accumulated "insider" knowledge of a large group of VS flyers is very evident; it's the resource for answers to a wide-ranging field of questions and many other issues that are not posted in the public fora of V-Flyer.

Accessible only as an added benefit for paid members only -- which includes you, of course, many miles, the Clubhouse is a great place to find answers to more complex issues of travel, including the very question many miles has posted.

For those who haven't yet joined the ranks of paid membership, see the link below and come on board!

Regards,
Chuck-

manymiles,

The LAX/SFO routes, during quiet periods are great. Even in economy, 10,716 miles - SFO - for around £350 inc. (X fare) is good.

If you're a Silver, from next month, that would be 13,395 and 16,074 for Gold [y]

In terms of NUMBER of miles - well, a D class run to SYD during the triple miles promo would be a great way of boosting your account ;)

But probably still no the best miles:money relationship.

I think, by fluke, probably the best will work out to be those freddy fares which will get you Aus mileage for minimal buck.

Ongoing the economy seats must be the best miles:money ratio and I would say at present maybe something like LAX/SFO (as Paul said), or maybe DXB due the cheap price of flights there at the moment.

Why not put all the mileages into a spreadsheet along with lowest mileage earning fares and work it out?[8D]

Umm. I think someone did do that once Paul[:I][:I][:I]. AFAIR the results are in the clubhouse somewhere.

I read your reply and I imediately envisage a load of V-flyer reader performing some kind of 'Treasure Hunt' the next time they visit the LHR or LGW clubhouse.:D:D

It's kind of shame security would prohibit this type of V-Flyer treasure hunt.[i]

The spreadsheet you refer to will need updating in light of the recent flying club changes [B)][:w]
