Yes VH do still send out paper tickets (the multi-layered ones as mentioned). An E ticket is basically an email from VS confirming all your details, and this acts as your tickets, saving VS money by not having to send out paper tickets to you.

I think they use the standard plates for all flights regardless of airlines, we often have had united and hawaiian tickets printed on virgin labeled tickets as it the only standard ticket format they have as VH ticketing,

I rang Virgin Atlantic but they no longer send out tags.Ebay dont have any but thankfully managed to get them through another source.
