Since when has VS marketing been 100% honest.

Anyways Decker I have to agree, we were lucky in Dec, we got treatments on both the outbound and inbound flights, however if you are going to advertise a service it may be a good idea to be able to provide it.

I don't like the idea of the priority cards..yes for those that take UC flights on a regular basis they are great..but for those that rarely sit in the front they are of no use what so ever (other than to sell on Ebay) so maybe a beefed up Revivals would be better.

In the end it is a good marketing tool..but unless it is done right you will end up upsetting people...kind of like the Christmas meals and myself [:$]

It's a real shame virgin's doing this as it is more likely to upset people. There's also the possibility of even more people becoming disappointed especially with the reconfig 400s when they're used on a short hop to NY. I wonder if this becomes to much of a problem perhaps they should ask is it going to be worth having a IFBT just to disappoint even more people.

I wonder what people would think if they gave UC another FA all the time instead of a IFBT?

Weeelll...
If there's a good FSM on the flight, it will only improve service. If there's a FSM lacking the skills to manage the crew successfully, there will just be another giggler in the galley.

My primary objection to losing the IFBT is the layout in the current 744's. I prefer 8-9-10 K, 9 above all. Pull out the IFBT station and what will go there? A couple suites? A wall? Galley supplies? Oversize cabin storage? That would make a difference to me. A lav is not an option. Getting around the pointy end would be tight with a center row of suites and attendant wall at 10-11-12, if not darn near impossible. Keeping galley supplies in the center of the A zone would add to the noise level.

Of course, [i] those with deeper pockets might welcome the thought of a small mini-suite in the middle of the pointy end. Take out the IFBT, put in a SQ F new suite, slap walls around it to the ceiling and give it a door, soundproof it, book two people into it, and close the door... [:w] That would put the fun back into somebody's flight, I'm sure! [}:)]
