The handling agents are employed to provide this service and are heavy penalties for not providing a service VAA pay for.

Dont worry everyone can still check in the day before.

Yeah.

Looks like I was misinformed. Sorry for that guys.

Feel like a right idiot now. Cheers for the not flaming me as would have happened on other boards.

Virginholidays could you PM me.

Hey if we break news we'll occasionally break eggs. I'm sure no one thinks you were anything other than honest in reporting what you'd heard.

Agreed. And bringing this sort of thing to wider attention means that it gets noticed and clarified that much faster.

I've got no doubt at all that you were misinformed, and as I said in my PM it seems that someone at our end got the wrong end of the stick concerning the withdrawal of VAA staff from TCI. I've sent a 'gentle' reminder out to our customer-facing teams to make sure they're giving the correct info, and once again I'm sorry for any concern this caused.

The storm that this has caused over on the dibb is amazing. I thought I took my leisure time, and holidays seriously, but I am only playing at it compared to a lot of dibbers. [^] [oo]

Jesus Christ - talk about crying over nothing. There is one post in particular in the Dibb thread that has me in pieces, if only I could remember my sign-in. There are some lovely people I'm sure, but there is a familiar name from elsewhere....

I still think VS should charge for it, unless you are in PE/UC or VS FC Au. Quick revenue stream in my book, and I'm sure the other carriers that do a similiar kind of service charge for it.

Having read the dibb boards for the first time they seem far more excitable than here and I pleased I am a memeber of this one and not that! Although I guess it may be the Disney influence!!! I think this post has shown that V-flyer members try to get any snippet of info that might be useful out - 99% of times it is correct - and for the 1% of times it is not then at least you don't get hounded and we can all have a laugh at it [:D]

Top job V-Flyer - this forum has made me realise that I definately made the right choice in joining [y]

Glad that you made the choice AKS120 - there's actually quite a lot of cross pollination between Dibb and ourselves given where VS fly and the crowd over there certainly know whereof they speak when if comes to all things Disney. They do seem to possess a lot more emoticons though [:)].

From reading the posts on Dibb about the Twilight Check In, you would think that it's the only reason they fly VS. Although I think it's a good thing (but I've never used), I agree with some of the posters it should be a paid service.

To me, it's a 'nice-ty' but shouldn't be a guaranteed thing and also as I like to turn up early for a flight (*cough* planespotter *cough*[:I]) not a big deal. It's like the CH if you really want it, especially at LGW then either go the usual FC route or pay for it.

What will be interesting, is the quality of service when the outsourced company fully take over the service.

I'd beg to disagree - but this is not the forum for such debates.

Of course, insourcing always works 100% of the time to budget, service and goals doesn't it [:I].

LOL - I work for one of the world's largest IT outsourcing SPs and I have lots of bad days [:p]. Some fun ones too.

There are lots, but this one is funny to cheer up your bad few days:
