Yup - some IFBT's have elected to continue working throughout the 'review'. As a result, some flights have them [y] and some flights don't [n].
It's now a double lottery - will there be an IFBTat all? and then, if there is, will I get a treatment? [:?][:p]

Also on the VS039 yesterday the IFBT was present. She was smashing and is electing to become crew but said there were still a number of things to be worked out. Very pleased to see her and with my very last priority card I ensured a treatment! Will hope that there's one on my return VS040 tomorrow.
Edited to remove crew name as per forum rules - honey lamb

This gets more bizarre, I had 2 IFBTs on the VS23 yesterday.
The explanation was that one of them had only just been trained and was being allowed to do 2 flights, this was her second, to see how she liked flying. She was rather sad and disappointed about the whole situation and was not really attracted at becoming crew, less money and also working in economy which was nto really why she joined.
I have to say I was also rather sad as this looks my last ever treatment

According the IFBT last night 70% have elected not to continue flying. Hope they all get good jobs elsewhere. [:)]
That said, yet again I didn't get a treatment (less than 5% hit rate now) so I would be one of those pax saying that I don't value the service. And after waiting 15 mins for lav to change back this morning, can we have an extra loo on the A346 please?

There was an IFBT on the VS56 last night, a lovely lady who had only been with VS for 6 months. So I dusted off a venerable priority card and was promptly whisked to the front for an excellent hot hand thingy. She told me that she is going to give being cabin crew a whirl. I hope she does well.

That's a high number and a shame. I had my final treatment on board on Friday on the VS040, and the BT's last flight too. Tthe IFBT was probably applying for crew and in response to my questioning it seemed like many will be. However, the BT said that as a less experienced crew member, she may end up working in Y and that's not what she signed up to do, so was thinking hard about it.
Guess we'll have the final announcement in a couple of days now.

I've flown UC probably 5 times, 1 OpUp and 4 Miles Upgrades. To me the IFBT was a real differentiator, they sat down and spoke to every passenger, something the FSM should do in my opinion. I was lucky, in that 4 out of those 5 times I did get a treatment.
I understand the need to cut back, particularly as I hear EOS will stop flying today. It's a shame the IFBTs were impacted by this.

Beauty area has no dissppeared from my flight's seating plan on both 744 and 346.
What will go in its place do you think? or will it just be open space?
On a 346, another loo is desperately needed. That said the bean counters will no doubt win the day and a suite will be squeezed in.

Gone from all the static maps as well
'Under review' my a$$... 'Decision made' would have always been more accurate.

Good to see that VS have had a good tidy of the seat configs now that the non-suite 343 and the old LHR 747 configs are gone. I wonder why there are still 2 configs on the LGW 747 fleet... maybe something to do with some being ex-LHR and others were destined for Alitalia?!

Beauty area is still on the seat map for the LHR 744s.
Although I think the v-flyer.com ones still show it for now.

Just check the VS site and it's still in the A-zone
Neil - yes it's a pretty subtle difference but I was just wondering out loud why it exists to be honest!
We went to LAS last summer on Pretty Woman which is config 1 with the 2 rows behind PE.

I understand that fitting an extra suite or loo on the 346 is practical, but particually on the 744, an extra suite would most deffinatly not be the most desierable seat.
Would moving the bar, and then fitting extra seats be an option? Or some sort of self service kitchen?

Now there's an idea. Cook your own meal on the flight. Get up early and make a bacon sarnie. Waft that about down the aisle and you'll soon be very popular. Excecpt on the ex-DXB perhaps [:w]
Thanks

You were correct in your wandering.
There are two configs as the fleet is made up of ex LHR a/c and LGW a/c (which were the ones Alitalia originally ordered). IIRC VS got the ex AZ 744s very late in the day and thus could not change the seating layout etc.

Open to interpretation and who has the better lawyers.
Well I think you would have a pretty hard time finding a decent lawyer if you were the IBFT's. VS will have most major City firms on their legal counsel and as a result those firms won't want to go up against VS in case it affects their role on the legal counsel. Couple that with the fact that VS will use the best lawyers in the business I think it would be very tough one to win.
