I've added a new section in the FAQs to cover PE refits - see:
http://www.v-flyer.com/faq.asp#6

Let me know if there's any corrections/updates/schedule info/etc..

Cheers

Could you see the TV screens when the pax infront puts his seat down? This was the biggest problem I found of a flight back from LAX. The older seats were brill but the 2nd gen seats with the plastic round heard were crap.

I think that the new Amenity Kit's might be here ... Although in Economy last last I saw a box full of red amd black kits being taken to the front of the plane.

From the brief look (It was very brief) I got hey looked like the ones VS handed out in the mid 90's or the current Business Offering from Delta

Just noticed this from the small print on a VS email...

"The new seat is already available on selected flights and is currently rolling out across our London Heathrow fleet. The roll out will continue across our London Gatwick fleet from 2008".

[:I] edited to add "...and what of Manchester ?"

We flew from MAN-MCO on Dec 19th and had the new PE meal service. The food was the same as economy (relatives were downstairs!) apart from the fruit and hot bread roll, but we got a menu (though it was wrong!) the china dishes, full size glasses with drinks service, real cutlery and Brandy/Baileys after our meal. We also had the new beige/purple soft blankets not the red itchy ones but the amenity kit was the same. Half a measure to keep us interested until the seat refit methinks. :)

Does anyone know how the LHR 747 fleet Premium Economy refit is going (or if it has started)?

The 744's have not been started yet. Once the re-fits of the A340's are done then the LHR 744's are next (probably 2 half of this year), followed by the MAN/LGW a/c in 2008.
