Do you also fall for the "Cheques in the post" and other similar sayings?

If your account isn't showing the extra 5000 miles then there is no proof they've been credited[:(]

Yes, all the time [ii][ii]

I have an email that says they're on their way, and have previously had no real problems getting miles credited from Virgin Games - I'm not at all worried about it.

I am looking after this promotion at Virgin Games and after a colleague told me about this site I thought it was important to answer some of the questions that have come up:

The promotion is only open to those people who have gone through the link from the page as this allows us to know who has come from the Virgin Atlantic page and help us properly administrate this promotion.

You cannot already have a Virgin Poker account to qualify

You must sign up, deposit at least $20 and play 50 hands to qualify.

Once you have done this please email [email protected] with your poker pin and flying club number.

The miles are then added to your account, because of our internal processes to get this information to Virgin Atlantic it could take up to 30 days to reflect on your account. If 30 days after notifiying us of your flying club number the miles are not on the account please email [email protected]

I hope this clears up a few queries and good luck on the tables.

Great - thanks Ed,

I've edited your post above to reflect this change as well. Thanks for taking the time out to explain all on the site - it's very much appreciated [y]

... here's hoping you stick around for the gamblers amongst the membership... [:w]

Thanks for your supportive reply.

I hoped that members would like to see some official Virgin Games representation on the forum to answer any questions about this promotion.

This has been a very popular promotion and we hope that people have enjoyed the Virgin approach to Poker and continue to play with us.

There is of course the Virgin Atlantic link to Las Vegas and there are tournaments on Virgin Poker where you can win you a place in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I am not a poker player so I cannot offer any tips on how to play!

Also don't forget that playing poker on the site also earns you Vpoints that can be exchanged for cash or flying club miles.

Thanks

Ah, so now we know who to moan at![}:)]

Only kidding - it's great to get someone who's personally involved contributing to V-Flyer

Pity it didn't actually say that in the T&C's [n]

I went through the link after downloading the client and then playing the hands.
My wife then used the client to create her new account and played the hands.
Hoepfully she'll get her points...

Don't want to click on the wrong thing......

I hope that isn't the case, and would not be happy if it is. I downloaded the client direct and had an email after the 50 hands saying I'd qualified (I'd also sent Virgin Poker an email with my FC number).
I will not be amused if they are now saying I didn't qualify because I didn't go via the 'correct' link. grr

Mine arrived today aswell:D:D:D

They take me over the 100K mark, so I may finally be able to treat myself to a trip in UCS and try out a couple of the clubhouses I have heard so much about.:D[y]:D[y]
