Virgin Casino + Virgin Credit Card = Miles?

All,
I just had a quick question which no doubt someone has already thought of and discovered the answer to:
If i stick a large sum of money into Virgin Casino from my Virgin Credit Card. Leave it there while it clears, and then transfer it back - do I get the miles for the transaction on the card? And then can I repeat such behaviour or will I get told off...
Cheers,
Ongen

I seem to remember similar 'schemes' involving paypal, but I can't see how the credit card one would work.
Aren't the number of FC points paid into your account is worked out by the amount of money you owe at the end of the billing period? Surely, when you repay the money into your CC account, it will cancel out the debt and you will be left at square one - with no points? Even if it is over a billing period, you will have to pay your bill (or incur interest) then - when you came to 'pay back' your casino money, you will be left with a positive balance on your credit card. Or, am I missing something[:I]

It has been tried, and it does work (or at least, it certainly did last year when I did it [}:)])
Details are contained in
this thread.I don't need the miles at the mo, but I'd certainly try it again, either for a flight or to make sure I got the VS CC companion ticket.
Best wishes
David

Thanks for the link, David.[y][y]
I will lock this thread and ask that all 'casino talk' be added to the big thread you have linked to.
