The A340-300's which still have the old J2000 seats: AEL,FLY,SUN,SEA.
Will have the following seat enhancements:
UCS pillow
UCS Duvet
UCS Sleep Sheet(Specially made with hood to fit over top of head rest)
Don't think it will make a huge difference, but there you go!!

Thanks, vscss [y]
Any clues as to when they get introduced, or is it immediate?

Would that be the white one, or one of the many spare red ones? [:p]

UCS duvet and pillow will make a difference. I use to love the J2000 until the UCS came along. On my night flight to Delhi in December, I realised that when you try to sleep, the solid bit between the edge of the seat cushion and the leg rest bit is the uncomfortable part to the set up. Its fine if you sleep face up but I have gotten used to sleeping on my side in UCS.
I never saw the benefit of the sleep sheet on UCS. It merely a preventative measure for VS seats for the sleeper who dribbles! Eeewww![:w]

A sleep sheet, pillow and duvet will be little consolation for the person who expects UCS and gets J2000;)

But will make the seat a little softer and more comfortable.
It will be nice having a nice crisp duvet and pillow!!

Maybe they should also introduce a wedge to stop you from slipping down to the bottom and waking up in the footwell!;)
I'm sure the improvements will make some difference and I still like the seat anyway (for day flights).

It will still be J2000 though, ewwwww!!
A couple of tips to help you sleep on J2000 seat passed on to me by Flight Deck, Cabin Crew and even some senior management:
1. When putting the seat in to bed mode push the button all the way down and then reline up a couple of notches, this will stop you sliding.
2. If you can get a couple of duvets, lay one on the seat and sleep on that, much more comfortable.
3. If you are in a bulkhead seat find a box or similar to wedge under the bottom of the seat to make it a flat bed.
4. Sleep on the floor, it's much more comfortable!

This is also true with UCS, I sleep on top of the duvet. Generally, I find aircraft cabins too warm and the last thing I want is any sort of cover. I realize others feel cold while I feel warm, but it seems commnon sense that the cabin tempertature should be kept cool and those who are cold can add blankets, because those who are too warm cannot disrobe beyond a point.
Ideally seats would have individual controlled heat elements.

I also tend to find cabins too warm and always like sleeping in the cold. Maybe for the next UC (or any) seat, maybe they can have individual temerature controls to set the temp. of the "matress."
