While, on the one hand, it'd be great to see VS match the offer; I can't help feeling that they would be showing a little more integrity if they didn't on this occasion.

Obviously you'll be politely turning down the offer then I'm guessing Paul [}:)]:D[oo]

LOL Dean - hav't you got a good memory! [y] I understand that Paul, as it is a matter of principle, will be making his D booking using my FC number. However he hasn't asked me for it yet[:#] - WOuld you like me to PM it to you Paul

Yes please Jeremy.

Actually, I'll be booking the flight, but out of principle - demanding they remove anything above the 200% mileage for upper from my account.

I was thinking of sending them to a charity, but then I read that I can't actually transfer the miles (from the terms and conditions), so I may have to reconsider what I do with them... ;)[:I]

Ah, heck - I hate to waste. I'd better keep them. [:?][:w]

Guess who wishes he wasn't taking a Z flight in March... Still, better Z with regular miles than, say, S, Y or N :D

Leaving on a D fare to IAD two weeks today :D. I think that the project demands a couple more visits out there before the end of March... [}:)]

:D

To say I was pleased when the alert came up this morning is an understatement....

Upgraded my S to a D for Cape Town. That'll also requalify me for Silver at the same time and the limo's will come in very useful indeed.

VS did like to keep us waiting though didn't they? Sick humour on their part.... ;)

David.

I know it says in the main part of the information that you get triple miles on a full fare return, but in the T&C it talks about sectors. Does this mean that if i am PE outbound and J on the way back, i will get triple miles on the return??

guess who booked a Z for next month, and the D subsequently got priced cheaper. I paid more for less miles! [:(]

Still good news for those in D's and J's!

I wonder if VS noticed a dip in bookings as a result of not going as early as the other carriers with triple miles... I guess they could have lost the business of pax who have accounts with more than one airline, or who had no other reason to fly a paricular line.

Yes, it's by sector, do you'd get 3x on the J element. [y]

Hello,

Someone please tell me I have done the right thingÉÉI have managed to change my return flight to Sydney from Z to D class at a cost of £731 [B)].

I am now a self confessed points *£$% and do feel guilty over paying an extra £731 when I know I am not going to change my dates [:I].

On the upsideÉ.. I now get the limo service (London, Sydney and Hong Kong) and an extra 84000 pointsÉ (Points for flying126,660, recommend a friend 2*15000 credit card points 23000 total 179660!!):D

180k miles is two (ish) Upper Returns to a 1-sector destination + you get 4 limos.

I'd say that's not bad for £731 ;)

IIRC, when booked as 2 flights - ie: LHR-HKG RTN + HKG-SYD RTN, you get 8 x limos. The same applies to the Tier Point calculations - where the "through flight" earns less.

If it's all as one flight, you only get the 4?

We booked our transfers last week, we have limos to and from home (Wolvehampton) and in Sydney, we also have transfers in Hong Kong which we weren't expecting. We fly through on the outward, and stop off for four nights on the return.
