V-Flyer

My wife needs 200 miles to get up to 80,000miles for 2 r/t tickets and after calling VS I found that I can't transfer from my account. So, what would you suggest for earning 200 miles quickly and cheaply?

Rent a car for a day with Hertz or Avis?
Stay in a hotel for a night?
Send flowers through FTD.com?

What would you do??

Need to do this before the mileage redemption hike otherwise it's a mute point.

BTW, we're both now US members after moving to sunny Texas last year.

Car rental - cheap as you can, 1,000 miles [y]

FTD will post quicker,send the wife some flowers and you will be in her good books for 2 things.

Dave - have you used the online "Hertz/Avis claim" functionality that's now live?

I used both last week (2 rentals, one from each), and the miles posted in 4 days. [y]

No never had a need to,it's all linked in my avis profile,if it can post in 4 days then I would say go ahead and do a car rental,look at avis.com,go for a local rental,just walk in,sign for the car,ask them nicely to please check the car back in in an hour,or take it for a drive round the parking lot and walk out.
