Hi,

We'd really appreciate some info and opinion on our 1st Virgin flight....WE are taking our 2 small children to Orlando and fly from Manchester ( flight VS075 ) on Tue Feb21st 06 and have been allocated seats 61 d,e,f & g...and wondered if anyone had any further info on these seats ?! There were no reviews posted so far on your 'seats' page...

Also any other info would be great, i.e how old are the aircraft on this route as i beleive that not all Virgin flights have the gameboys etc...

Many thanks in advance
x

Ok, you are near the back, in the middle 4 seats. The window seats come in groups of 3 (a few are 2's) so as you are a family of 4 that is why you will have been booked into the middle seats. If you want to change them, go to the virgin-atlantic.com with your booking reference and look for update your booking. Ultimately this will allow you to check out what seats are still free and if any are better than yours. You will not be able to break up your party though I don't think. The seats you have a pretty average.

If you have a look here you will be able to look up your flights, see which aircraft have flown them in the past, etc. Most importantly you will be able to look up which entertainment systems they had, and if you click on the links see what those systems offer. I am afraid you will not get V-port, the most up to date system, but either Nova or Odyssey. Both give kids channels, but nova lacks the games.

Hope this helps.

Hi there

Welcome to the forum!

The aircraft flying the MAN route also do the LGW flights. The aircraft are either one of the 5 equipped with SuperNova as IFE, which were delivered to Virgin in 2001, or one of the Odyssey equipped IFE planes (two in service i believe) which were delivered in 1997. MAN used to use older aircraft but that is no longer the case, your aircraft will be no different to any of the current flights from LGW (unless of course the plane goes tech and is replaced)

The Odyssey IFE has Nintendo games, sadly SuperNova does not, although it does have a wide range of movies. You can read more about the IFE onboard Virgin aircraft here

As for your seats, row 61 is perfectly fine, although if you have small children it might be easier for you if you sat further forward in the plane as the further back you are then longer it takes you to get off.

I hope that has been of some help? If you have any other queries feel free to ask! Id also advise checking out the FAQ if you have not seen it yet as it also covers a lot of main queries

Let the kids take their gameboys and buy a new game at the airport, will stop them being over dissapointed if the IFE hasn't got games ( which is most likely )
