In the brochures they are offering connecting flights for £10 return from Glasgow. Do you know who they are with please, as flybe and bmi don't fly that route.

Also if you book the connecting flights can you choose to fly down the night before your flight to MCO. We did it all on one day last year and it was far too much so would like to go down day before, use twilight check in and relax in a nice hotel.

Alsao as i presume it is budget airlines they are using, will they honour VH luggage allowance and take car seats and buggies aswell

thanks

Not sure who the connecting flights are with (could be BA I guess) or the luggage allowance - we were well under our 20Kg each.

But we were able to fly the night before from belfast and stay at Gatwick just recently. However, in our case the first flight of the day from belfast would have left the connection time a little tight for our VS flight to Antigua.

Hi there,

I have just booked a VH holiday and pre-booked the dom flights from Glasgow. It is only BA that fly that route and like me if you book the seats at least 11 months in advance they will request your required flight times however these are not guaranteed to you until at least 8 months prior to travel.

I have booked our seats to come down to LGW the night before to utilise the twilight check in and requested the 16.40 from Gla but i wont bother booking the hotel until it has been confirmed.

We also travelled with VH/ VA from LGW in Dec 05 and again booked our seats to fly the night before.BA at Glasgow were great and we had our 2 babies travelling with us and arrived at the BA check in desk armed with 2 full trolleys! I told them we were travelling onwards with VH the following day and they said no problems as we were travelling onwards longhaul. So you shouldnt encounter any problems with them.

Hope this helps.

Most likely British Airways - they fly from GLA / EDI and ABZ to both MAN & LGW (amongst other places)

Thankyou everyone for your replies. I guess it is worth trying to get the £10 flights, if we can't get them then we will just have to book them ourselves. We will be booking our flydrive with VH pretty much as soon as the summer 07 brochures are released
