UC is different from anything else. for one thing, you can sit reclined with your feet up for takeoff and landing! That's just to start off with!

You'll love it [y]
Just the novelty of having a glass of port at the bar before going off to bed at 35000 never wears off.

Can you??? On the couple of times I've flown UC, the cabin crew have still asked for 'seats in upright position' and so on... Is this something new then???? I do so love to slob about!

Claire,

The general announcement regarding seats and legrests goes to the plane - but passengers in Upper can ignore these. The chair is allowed to be fully reclined at all times. (Just make sure you've done your window blinds ;))

Safety.

So you can see if there is fire or an obstruction/problem outside the plane.

Would you want to exit to the right if there was a cliff and blazing fire there? (how would you know, until you opened the door, if you couldn't see... ;))

Well, naturally!

I guess it just goes to show they can tell who isn't used to travelling UC all the time!

Lucky man - I wish all my flights were like the first time ... and as everyone says, anticipating turning left not right is just damn funkfabulous.

Enjoy!

Nothing quite like it!

To be fair, on last month's flight, one of the crew made a specific announcement to the Upper Class cabin before take off @ LHR, informing everyone that the "seatback-upright" rule didn't apply to them. (And also made a point of saying it was the only aircraft seat like it ;))

You better believe it! Actually, since Air NZ has the same seats, it should be the same for them too...

But that's one of the BEST parts about the takeoff and Landing part of UC, anyway.

Enjoy!

Have made mental note of that - outbound flight will be PE but UC on way back.... looks like flights from Orlando also have the new suite, so am looking forward to that too. And hoping they don;t have to change the plane 'for operational reasons'....

I'm so sad, sometimes I don't quite believe it myself. :D
