I think it may have been Fast track. They've been running articals on buisness only airlines Eos and MaxJet and airlines profiting from loyalty programs and air miles. Anchor reporting from what looked like a club house or bar. As an unfortunate who has not yet travelled UC I was not able to identify it as Virgin club house nor could I see anything obviously Virgin.

Yes it was "Fastrack" on BBC News 24

This must have been what I saw filming in the CH on Tuesday Jan 24th. Slightly goggle-eyed, perma-tanned presenter yes?

Look out for a slightly overweight guy in the background either eating a burger or heading to the salon for a shave. That would be me[:I].

I supect the gentleman you refer to is Akhtar Khan. His name might sugest his "perma-tan" is genetic rather than aquired by UV exposure

He does present FastTrack.

Oh no - perma-tan is the orange colour usually associated with Dale Winton, David Dickinson etc. It is neither genetic, nor UV-related, nor is it particularly "perm". I understand it is acquired from proximity to spray nozzles.

My apologies for any offence caused. I will take my punishment [B)].

The guy really was an odd orange colour in the flesh though.

Punishment is to spend an hour in the CH tanning booth - let's see exactly how orange you can go... [:0]

One false fire alarm later, and the only embarassment is the rest of LHR seeing me in a dressing gown...
