Not working in any engineering discipline (my grandfathers and godfather are probably all spinning in their graves in regret, though of they ever saw my programming and project plans they would actually be grateful) I hadn't appreciated the attention to detail needed - purpose built transport platforms and infrastructure! It is so much easier making electrons move around to do sums with other peoples' money.
