Yay! [y] Just worked out that with the new bonus a PE return to LAX gives you enough miles for a one way PE->UC upgrade!

Shame the computer didn't give you the 8000+ tier point and 5 miles. That could have been funny. Surely would have taken you to the top of the V50 list.

Just checked my balance and my gold bonus is not quite what I was hoping for.
I flew UC to BOM which is 8938 miles including the UC 200% bonus, however I was awarded 2235 bonus miles. Do they base it off the milage, or the milage + cabin bonus? I called VS last night and the nice woman at the end of the phone was equally confused by the rules and promised to call back.

50% of base mileage only (i.e. not including the cabin bonus) per leg - you might want to have a look at
this FAQ for a base mileage table.
