So, Mummy csparker and Daddy csparker (my parents) join in the MCO epic, but fly out early today via IAD where they want to do some sightseeing. They're flying in G on my miles.

Thanks to triple miles this winter, I can also put them in a Tristar car to get to LHR this morning. Bummer is at 8.30 this morning, no car. The senior csparkers decant into a minicab, and some haory driving gets them to LHR in time to check in, get their can money refunded and have a coffee in the lounge before boarding.

I am not happy, as I wanted them to get the full UC experience, and they certainly did not get the LHR lounge at its best, and it strikes me that it took the ground staff at LHR a long time to sort out the taxi cash.

Customer services are going to get a nasty-gram from me on Monday. I want my 10k miles back!

At least Mum got her massage in flight. I wonder if it cost her my priority card. And they got their limo in Washington as well.

What a shame - must have been a stressful start to their journey. Hope they managed to enjoy the rest of it.

damn right you want your 10k back, Plus the should pay for the cab (which I think they have done) and think about 5k comp for the stress - after all your folks only had time for a quick coffee in the CH.

We had a problem with the limo in Miami a few years back.

We gave the driver the voucher to say that we had paid, but he wouldnt accept it and demanded we paid him $200 or he wouldnt take us anywhere! We eventually paid by credit card and got on to VS once we were at our hotel. They said they would get on to the company as they shouldnt have taken the money and the transaction would be cancelled.

Then when the credit card statement arrived once we were back home, it turned out they had taken the money after all! Managed to get a refund from VS about 6 weeks later.

So it looks like problems with limo's aren't that uncommon!

Sometimes the problem with the limo's is that if one letter isn't in put correctly into the system, it wont register that you've got a limo.

It's just one of many problems with the system!

Spoken to customer relations today - I'll get my 10k back, which isn't too shabby, since my folks got the cab fare refunded as well. Every other limo problem (TRs passim) has left me 5 or 10k miles up on the deal, so I think this is fair.

Have you found out why they didn't turn up. This does worry me (selfishly) as I regularly use a 10k limo and would be stuck if it didn't turn up

No reason given. Lipstick's post is a concern though.

All you can do is phone to confirm. Everything else is down to chance.
