Hello
I was wondering whether anybody could help me?
On Friday 7th September 2001 I flew VS009 LHR-JFK. Due to traffic problems on the perimeter road at LHR I very nearly missed the flight, arriving at the gate just in time to board. I was unforunately not able to get the registration of the plane that flew us to JFK that day.
I was wondering whether anybody could confirm the plane we flew that day? It was and Boeing 747, unsure whether it was a -200 or -400!
To cut a long story short, we were due to fly back to LHR on Tuesday 11th September 2001, however we were stranded in New York until the following Sunday when we flew Honey Pie back to LHR.
After a traumatic week in NYC we left our hotel at 3am to travel to JFK. When we arrived at Temrinal 1 Honey Pie was lit up on the apron. It was an amazing sight! We had a fantastic flight back to LHR in the circumstances and have been very fond of VS ever since.
If somebody could confirm the plane that took us on our outward journey, I would be extremely grateful!
Look forward to hearing from somebody soon!
Michael
