Why does it cost over nearly 3k to travel from London to Singapore- return on Singapore Airlines in their Business class, when a similar flight on Virgin from LHR to LAX in their 'Business' class ie Premium, would cost something between £750-950- non flex?
I don't get it!
I can only book economy too for a Singapore Airline's flight on the Virgin website.
Also, does anybody know if and how i could use Virgin miles to upgrade on a Singapore airlines flight? is that possible and how would i go about it?

Well VS' PE product is an Economy Plus product where Raffles on SQ is a Business Class Product. Upper Class to Raffles would sorta be an 'apples to apples' comparison.
You cannot use VS miles to upgrade on a SQ flight. Sorry.

Hi there
Welcome to the forum.
Firstly, Virgin's Premium Economy is not Business Class, it is an enchanced Economy product, hence the price difference. Business Class onboard Virgin is called Upper Class, and carries a price tag around the same as SQ flights.
You can book flights to Singapore with SQ as part of a code share with VS through their website, and you can also use your VS Flying Club miles to purchase a reward seat on SQ flights, although you cannot purchase upgrades.
You may be better off calling Virgin Atlantic to see if they can help you book your flight if you want to travel to SIN with SQ on the codeshare flight, alternatively i think that booking directly with SQ may be easier?
Thanks,
Sarah
