Sitting in the lounge drinking champagne, apparently I was the first pax ever to come to the lounge heading for Dubai.
The new lounge area is fab, feels so much better, even if the "garden" is a bit of a joke.
Segway is currently charging in the managers office.
Cheers

Thanks!
Just had the Rhinestone Cowboy (why does this make me think of Brokeback Mountain

and it was dope.
Now more champagne and internet addiction fix. At 0.18c a minute it is fairly pricey fix too.
See you in Dubai, I am staying at some hotel near the airport, but I shall be there on time.
Cheers

Have a fab time dude!
Interesting that its a -600, I thought they were gonna use the -300's for dubai. Suppose with plenty of press about you want the best you have on display!

Well normally on 'opening day' they use the best plane, remember Mumbai. Well I do not even think Dickie needs a visa for the UAE.
Enjoy Sky.

Is this the flight where SRB dresses up and does his little publicity stunt at the new destination, or has that already been done?

Spoke with premier last night as FC would not recognise booking ref and let me pre-assign seats online for flight in June.Very helpful lady told me that all the DXB flights are showing as 600s at present.Guess if expected loads lighten they will switch back to 300s.Hope all the V-flyer contingent have a good flight on Friday.

Hope you enjoyed the flight Artur, did SRB have a chance to chat with you?

We flew on GWIN, she looked so new and fresh, just like a girl should be

.
According to cabin crew, the flights are going to be both 343 and 346. My and mitchja's return flight is scheduled to be a 343.
No, he did acknowledge the segway.
Nick, airport security had some trouble with it, then it went fine

. Unlike Dubai airport which DESPITE HAVING POLICE OFFICERS USING SEGWAYS do not allow pax to use them. Retarded.
It was an excellent flight! Even the bangers and mash were good (lamb bangers!).

Glad GWIN was pristine looking but then you would expect that wouldn't you? Shame you didn't get to share your experiences with SRB this trip. Did you manage any pics?

Pictures from the Clubhouse, where I sadly forgot my camera [:(].
As a side note, who the hell designs a business class lounge with no power outlets! Emirates, you provide free internet in the lounge but no power, wtf!?!?
Cheers

Did you wonder into Economy?
What did you think of the new wider seats with more legroom and lumber support??
Did you like the water fountain feature??

I did not wonder into Economy, between me and the Economy section was a solid wall of around 50 people drinking, so I decided not to.
