Suitcase Dimensions

on the VA website it says that the three dimensions of any piece of luggage must not add up to more than 158cm. are they really going to get there measuring tapes out if your case is a bit over this?

They have the right to do this. We know that all rules relating to aircraft and airports can be rigidly enforced, if the airline / airport staff are of a mind to do so.

If your suitcases are over the limit then they may not let you check them. How strongly this is enforced is anyone's guess, but IMHO it isn't worth risking it.
