Flight International state that Virgin only have one training flight simulator and it is a 747-200 based at Crawley. Surely this can`t be correct?
Its not always the case that airlines have their own simulators as they are damned expensive - there are a number of locations in the UK where you can "hire" them out.
In fact I was going to put a post on the site abotu maybe having a V-flyer day or evening at the 747 or 346 simulators. I have been lucky enough to have been in the 747-200 and its the biggest buzz you can get - it was a superb plane to fly - take offs and landings included - so light so delicate yet with so much powere and grace.
If anyone is interested then maybe we can start another post in the "events " section
