When do they change the menus in Economy?

I have been to NYC/BOS nearly every month now since December and I'm getting a little tired of Beef Kobbler, Sausage and Mash and Vegetable Curry. I actually picked up some bagels in LHR on my last flight. Brilliant idea. Don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.

Apparently it's every 6 months and they've recently changed to Chicken, Beef pie and Veggie Curry. The topic below also covers this

I too have brought bagels onboard!!! (from the bagel stand in T3 dep lounge?) Albeit VS did say there was going to be a two hour delay and then called the flight for boarding as soon as we all reached the lounge.

Someone once told me this rule about Economy airline food:

Remember to take off the foil/plastic lid before eating the food, it won't tast any different but it just looks more elegant.

When I fly in Economy, its a 50/50 whether I'll eat or not - I normally stock up in the LHR Clubhouse. A nice breakfast will normally do me for a East Coast journey
