Hiya

I booked flights to MCO last week as PE (lowest) I checked the flights today to find that the price has decreased by about £100+ each.

Is there any way i can 'cancel and re-book' to take advantage of this? I booked with the 'lowest' option so im not sure if they are transferrable.

Does anyone here know what the options are?

If you have booked a discount fare it's unlikely you will be able to cancel it without incuring a penalty.

Check your fare code here

Hey thanks!

Typically, we are on an S fare outbound and a W fare inbound, so one way is refundable but other way isnt.

I may ask Virgin or speak to the Flying club, just seems a shame that we have paid a few hundred quid that we need not have :)

Hi

This is a bummer that happens to all of us now and again, but unless Virgin can save you a little bit by doing something with that o/w W fare you will just have to grin and bear it and be thankfull you got a seat on the flight (I hear MCO PE is popular).

You never know, you might actually need that flexibility on the return leg (few more days in Disney?), plus paying full whack PE fare may work in your favour if they are looking for some people to 'try out' the upper class seats!!! [:p]

Theres a lesson to be learned there, never check back on ticket pricing once you have booked ;-)

Points duly noted! :)

I will try the UG blag at check-in but they do not seem to upgrade with the MCO flights and choose to put pax in UC row 12 with a PE service. I would be greatful for the seat but its not as nice as eating off china is it? hehe

Lesson learnt though, never re-check ticket prices, just be greatful for the seat!

You never know...you could get lucky.

I've always been upgraded to full UC both o/b and return on the MCO route. In fact last year every flight, but one, was an upgrade (5 return flights). I've never been put in the PE seats downstairs though[V]

I have to say we have been very lucky that we were seated in the lower PE seats last year, it was quite strange, as we had always flown economy before and the last time we had been upstairs, was on Club Orlando, we thought these were the standard PE type of seat!

The other thing was that there must have been a company convention, as the UC was full and some seemd to be across from us in what we thought was PE. Just thiought "oh yes, big bosses go UC, these guys go PE" I don't think they got a different meal service though...

Matt, your FC Gold though arent you? I guess that entitles you to a slightly better treatment than us poor Silver and Reds :)

Thats very true HighFlyer. I don't know how they do their UG selections (most were just auto, no asking), but all of my bookings are usually through VH so I would have thought that W or K fares would have been above me fare wise.

Then again, I suppose it also depends on the number of people they need to UG.

Matt

I was on a VH PE H fare last year as I was given an op upgrade at LGW and I'm still only Silver :D
