I'll be on the VS45 on Thursday 27th Apr and returning on VS46 on the 30th Apr. Can anyone confirm this will be the 744, as I would prefer the 346[}:)]

Many thanks.

Hi there

The VS045/46 was usually operated by the A346, but has recently changed flight times (the 45 used to leave at 0930am, now leaves at 1400pm) On your travel dates it does seem to now be allocated a 744.

What is your seatmap showing on your 'manage my booking' page on the VS website? To be honest, that is often the most reliable means of telling which aircraft you have - although i think a 744 it be!

There are often last minute changes for technical and other reasons, so please also bear this in mind - all bets are off until you get to the gate!

Thanks,
Sarah

Is there a way of checking what metal VS 'think' will be on a sector prior to actually booking?

I have scanned the VS website and tried raising a dummy booking - Cannot see if this info is displayed anywhere. Am I missing something?? [:?]

Yes, you can see the scheduled aircraft using most booking engines - just generate a dummy booking on travelocity/expedia, etc - and it'll give you it under the flight details.

Alternatively, use our link to ExpertFlyer to see more accurate info on seat allocations/meals/aircraft type, etc.

Thanks Paul, Is the info held by the likes of Expedia normally pretty reliable??

Yup - they're reading from the same data that ExpertFlyer/ITA are providing, so there should be no fundamental difference.

Cheers.

The seat map shows a VERY full 744, and I'll be down the back as usual :-(
