Why don't Virgin fly Boeing 777s?

I was wondering why Virgin has no 777s in its fleet. Why don't Virgin fly them? Replacing some of the ancient A340-300s with newer two-engined aircraft would surely be a good idea and to save fuel. A 777 could easily hop across the Atlantic with two engines instead of four.

""Four Engines For Long Haul" has been a VS maxim for a while now - I dont know whether it is something that is unwavering in the Virgin Atlantic philosophy!!!"

Have a look at the future aircraft thread that has been recently put on here!
The 777 and the 346 were both looked at recently (when they were buying the latest batch!) and it was decided that the 346 was best suited to VS.
