IFE on former 742's

This is my first posting on this forum since becoming a member of the forum and I wanted to ask a question about the 747-200s that served VS well until last year. Sorry if its a daft one.[:#]
I was wondering what was the name of the IFE used in the -200s, in particular the ones used on G-VSSS and G-VBEE.
I have travelled on VS in the past on the MAN-MCO flights, which are significant to me because this was the first route that I had ever flown on, and I remember flying on the -200s. [8D]
I can't remember the particular A/C I was on, but I vaguely remember flying in G-VCAT and G-VSSS or G-VBEE.
Hopefully I will board one of these flights again someday on the 744s which have now taken over this route.
Any info much appreciated, thanks.
Alex

Just to support the previous posting, I found this on disboards.com in relation to the wet-leased 747-200's
http://www.disboards.com/archive/index. ... 70496.html Extracted from this:
The aircraft will be staffed by Virgin trained crew and with full Virgin livery and in-flight entertainment.
The aircraft will maintain the following:
á Full Virgin Atlantic livery
á Full Virgin Atlantic products, catering and amenities on board
á Seatback IFE Matsu****a 2000E "Odyssey" IFE system.á Virgin trained and uniformed crew
Hopefully this answers your question
Regards
Pat

Bear in mind, when considering your excitement over travelling on one of the newer MAN 744s, that a lot would consider the new entertainment system "Nova" to be inferior to Odyssey... [:(]

That may be, but its better than old Nova!

Thank you all.
I remember on my last flight with VS and I remember the word 'NOVA' from the flight but couldn't be sure.
If the frequent flyers on this route have noticed how inferior 'NOVA' is to 'ODYSSEY'then they must feel that their service has been downgraded, and what doesn't help is that there are more 'NOVA' aircraft allocated to MAN/LGW than 'ODYSSEY'.
In an ideal world, there should be V:PORT on all of the a/c, but if VS feel that 'NOVA' and 'ODYSSEY' is adequate then so be it.
Thanks again,
Alex

Ive never used V:port, but to be fair, I liked the Odyseey system on my last flight.
Looking at the website, I was wondering if it would ever be feesable to upgrade the odyseey system to an AVOD system using the same equiptmenet.

At least with Nova the movie and sound quality is better as it is digital system not like the cassettes used on Oydessy.
