Has anyone else seen theirs yet?

Covered in the new graphics, they're now two pages "tall" rather than folded A3 "booklet" style.

Are these statements actually necessary? I can get all the information they contain, online.

Until this morning, I would have agreed with you - but I can't find any reference to this on va.com at the moment... [:I]

Yes, I have to say I don't find my usefull at all. It is always out of date and because I am paranoid and it has my name and address on it I can't just bin it (I have to shred it)

Fair point Paul. However VA could and should have posted the information on its website.

My bank allows me to opt out of receiving printed statements through the mail. FC could easily do the same. As I have no vested interest in them wasting their money on unwanted printed matter and postage, I would certainly opt out of receiving these statements.

PK

You can opt out of Flying Club/VS communications here (You will need to log into your FC account first though)

Ah, indeed.
I would like to receive account statements by post. (Statements are also available to view online, just log into your Flying Club account).

That actually raises another question in my mind. I have this one ticked, too:
I would like to receive the Flying Club magazine by post.
When was the last "magazine" sent out? [?]

My last I-Fly is the Winter 2006 issue (Dubai headliner) which I think I received early 2006 sometime.

Thanks guys. I hadn't noticed this. I can now see the communication options on the FC website, but I bet they forgot to mention it in the printed statements!

Got mine last week

Anybody notice the interesting Flying Club number on the card depicted on the front of the statement? Wonder if there is more to that than meets the eye?

Thanks,
Sarah

I have now opted out of receiving printed statements! Thanks to this thread and the collective wisdom of V-Flyers, VA now have a few more pennies in their coffers to spend on service improvements.

Last and only one I have had was a bit out of date compared to the information on the website.
