What's your favourite Cowshed treatment? I've sampled a few but not yet dared to use the accompanying facilities like the jacuzzi ... just can't face the prospect of being in my trunks with some of my colleagues!

It's possible to be in less than trunks for one of the Cowshed treatments... [:I]

Well, I'm sticking with the Rhinestone Cowboy - admittedly not tried any of the others, but why fix what's not broken?

Cheers

I had a rhinestone cowboy in Revivals (complete with eyebrows) last Saturday. Given the poor sleep I had, I would have been happy for the shuolder massage bit to have gone on all day. Looking at the list, they don't seem to do a half hour massage.

Don't remind me!! Though its fun when the therapist does it, but the paper thong / pants thing isn't great. And you have the teeniest tiniest space in there.
The Jacuzzi is fun, something fabulous about being in there in an airport - great story for sharing to get the reactions.
I think next time I may try the chair massage, want to experience as many massages as I can in as many places as I can.

I tend to have the Fine Farm Hands, which is cool.

Well, there's a fantastic bit of synchronicity: I just came to do a search on treatments before making a booking and someone had started this thread!
I don't think the Rhinestone Cowboy will suit me as I am a lay-dee, but the Fine Farm Hands, the Fresh as a Daisy and the Hoof one all sound good to me. The only one I've had was in Revivals last year and was the facial. I thought it was great and just the thing after a night flight: I travelled home with that polished skin feeling which helped me to keep awake I think. Still, does that mean it isn't so good for before a flight I wonder?
I shall be watching this thread closely for top tips.
Thanks in advance...

I had the Fresh as a Daisy recently and it was lovely. I'd certainly recommend it

Hi,
I'm off to Delhi on the VS 300 on 21st August and was thinking of the St Tropez Tan
Has anybody had it? - how long does the tan last and does it make you feel sweaty/unconfortalbe for the flight?
I would hate to have the tan then find half of it has come off on the overnight flight!![:I]

The minister of the Interior had the fresh as a daisy, and loved it. I had the Rhinestone, and was very disappointed. If I wanted and not very close shave and bits of paper stuck over my mush, I would get a 3 legged dog to do it. Chair massage or boring old hair cut for me.

Wear baggy non-white clothing as you will lose some colour. It develops during the flight but if you make the mistake of wearing white undergarments you'll end up looking like a dysentery victim.
Lasts for a couple/few weeks depending on natural top ups but looks realistic. I'd recommend it.

TBS - You do feel a bit sweaty, and it has a weird (not unpleasant, but weird) smell about it. It's strange getting off the plane a different colour to how you got on, too.
Realistically, after a week of showering each day, you're pretty much back to normal.
Oh yeah - mind those hot towels, they have a habit of wiping the stuff off, and you'll end up handing yours back with brown stains on it... [:I]

I did it, ruined a pair of Calvins, and didn't go very brown but did get a bit of colour to improve the usual tired and drained appearance! You do get the option of paper knickers to wear though, which I might use next time! Afterwards my skin did feel a bit sticky for a few hours though not uncomfortably so.
Couldn't face the prospect of having it applied by a therapist though, too embarrassing to be stood there in a cup!

I have to agree about the embarrasment factor! Must ask though, what size cup are we talking here, single espresso or maxi latte?

I thought about having the Tan treatment when I go. How well does it apply if you have hairy chest and legs? Also, I will be travelling to SYD, so is it practical to have the Tan treatment and be on the aircraft for 23 hours [:?]

The fluid balls up on the hairs but still hits the skin. The trick is dabbing it off at the end as you can't really shower for 8 hours or so.

The only one I've had is the Rhinestone Cowboy. The fact that I have that one every time sums up how much I like it.
The quality of the shoulder massage has definitley improved with every treatment I have.

Really, they normally have me take my top off and roll down the top of the dressing gown and provide a 5 minute shoulder and neck massage just to chill you out.
Never had it on the first treatment there, but on all subsequent treatments..
