Hi All

Recently upgraded my seats from economy to PE flying LGW to St Lucia in June, just went to settle my bill and found out that the booking agent had got the price wrong for PE upgrade, so the invoice is £200 more than I was quoted!!!, after a few arguments and a quick letter to VA customer support they have met me half way with a £100 reduction and as a goodwill gesture will be giving me Virgin upper class clubhouse lounge passes :D , is there an UC lounge in ST Lucia does anyone know?, as from the wording of the letter I cannot tell if this is access to lounge on return also?

Can none UC passengers normally purchase access to the UC lounge?

Nice customer support from Virgin [8D]

Thanks.

Hi ecnirp,

There is not a Virgin Clubhouse in St Lucia, but I understand that VS now has a shared lounge facility (there is a post on this board about it).

You cannot normally purchase access to the Clubhouses, entry is as an UC pax, or as a FC Gold or as an Amex Centurion card holder (the latter two have to be flying with VS that day, but can be in any class of seat).

There are occasional exceptions, I understand VH have sometimes sold access but this appears to be very rare.

Looking on the virgin site, there appears to be allsorts of treatments available in the clubhouse LGW lounge, like hairdresser, massage, manicure etc, i'm sure the wife will be interested in them ;) , are they complimentary?, I fly out at 10am on VS031, how long before can you have treatments, I presume boarding will take place at around 9:15-9:30am onwards?

Thanks

Thats good because the airports a right hell hole took are first UC flight there and had a fit when there was no lounge access as at the time VS publicity proclaimed lounge at every departure airport I have aways stashed a crate of beer/coke from the all-in hotels mini bar for the airport wait.It about 2 years since we were last there any lounge would be a massive improvement. The only one
I could see looking round the airport on 3 or 4 visits was a door that said club on it?It was not open and a BA flight was leaving at the time.

One thing to bear in mind is that some of the shared lounges can also be accessed by people who hold a Priority Pass.

Yes baord time is usually 30 minutes or so before sched departure time for passengers in the CLiubhouses - they will call you down as you will typically be qualified for priority boarding anyway.

Thanks,
Richard
