LGW Fleet

Hi Everyone,

A small question, that you might or might not know about, but always worth asking me thinks..

Just wondering if any of the LGW Fleet of planes will be updated anytime over the next year? I know that the LGW fleet is ex LHR planes, and with new planes coming was wondering if any will be moved over? or will any of the current LGW planes be updated with V-Port? Have had the luxury of V-Port on 3 out of 4 flights and really missed it on the one that didn't have it, and am just booking to go to Vegas and obviously that means flying ex LGW, so no V-Port [n]

Also which is better Nova or the other one (cant spell it)[?] ?

Thanks for any help

Maybe if the seats need to get redone but just do not see it in the cards. V:port is great but cost about GBP2 million an aircraft and the aircraft is out of service for a good period of time for the refit (do not know if that figure includes these cost). Could happen if the LGW/MAN aircraft get the new A346 PE and Y seats but only time will tell.

Also if LGW get new or updated aircraft, MAN and soon (rumor) GLA will get new aircraft as VS does a switch-er-roo in MCO, which I think is pretty tight IMHO.

The LGW Fleet will remain as is for some time as the planes are fairly new and are configured for the Bucket and Spade FL routes etc

If you really want V-Port why not fly to LAX or SFO (the connection is only about 40 mins or so) and you get more availability and miles

In response to your final question Nova is the most basic as it doesnÕt offer games although to be honest I cant remember the last time I flew an arcadia or odyssey equipped flight so my knowledge may be a bit dated!

Edit: thanks MarkJ for noticing my LAS/LAX typo[:I]
