Can a reward flight to SYD include a stop-over?

Thinking of using miles for a Sydney trip, (from LHR). But would like to stop-over in HKG if possible.?

Hmm... actually, now that I think about it...

Maybe a better plan is to search the reward fares engine to ensure availability on all the sectors.. then book upgradeable economy fares for the trip, and upgrade all sectors to UC with miles..

We were allowed a stopover in Hong Kong on our booking. I don't know if you would call it a reward flight as such since it was what Aer John won in the Flying club Swingers, but the seats were booked in G. Perhaps a call to VS?

I dont think you can if you book it as a LHR>SYD return flight. It certainly doesn't come up with the page asking if you require a stop-over during the reward booking process. I think you will have to book 2 seperate rewards to be able to stop-over (LHR>HKG return and HKG>SYD return)

It's the same number of miles though which ever way you do it.

Regards

Oh yeah, so it is. And I hadn't realised I could put in HKG-SYD as a return trip.. so thanks!! [y]

PS. James, you have EIGHTEEN flights booked at the moment. That's some serious travelling! [oo]

I was on a companion ticket when we went and had a stop over no problems. Tickets were booked over the phone though, not on the website.
