My wife and I will spend some time at the JFK and LHR Virgin Clubhouse in June. We will not be carrying a laptop computer with us. My question, though, is whether there is any internet access at the JFK and LHR clubhouses for a passenger without a personal computer? There will be no need to check e-mail. My wife simply needs to access some web sites for a correspondence course she is taking. If there is such access, what is the protocol for using the computer? Is there a charge? Thanks in advance for any replies.

See Richard's excellent report on the JFK clubhouse at http://www.v-flyer.com/jfkclubhouse.asp where he mentions 5 Apple macs available for browsing. The LHR clubhouse had two PCs last time I was in - locked down a bit too tightly for my tastes (http://www.gotomypc.com) but fine for normal browsing.

No charges apply either way.

The London PCs seem very sensitive. Try to access V-Flyer and they bomb out the browser. There is no way to get the browser back other than a reboot. Not pretty.

This has been mentioned elswhere in relation to the PC's at the LGW Clubhouse, I must say I was onto the v-flyer site on one of the Clubhouse PC's for about an hour when we flew out of LGW in March without any problems whatsoever.

When I visited the SFO Clubhouse the 2 PC's worked just fine when viewing the V-Flyer web site :).

I could not get the wireless to work though in the SFO Clubhouse even though my card found 2 hot-spots, it did however work in the domestic departure gate area at though.

Never tried wirless at LHR in any terminal yet. Has T3 got any wireless hot spots yet [?]
