How'd you afford UC?

Anyway, if never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that fly UC and I just wondered how the devil do you afford it? Do a lot of you always fly with work or does everyone have seriously high paying jobs?
I have only ever flown economy but soon will be able to try PE using some miles, but I could never afford to fly UC as the cost of upgrading is nearly always more than the holiday itself. [:0]
Anyway, its not a dig or anything, beleive me I'm v.envious, just interested in how you do it thats all.
