VS19 14/05/06 downgrades

I'm not sure how much use this is to anyone, but as I was updating my ticket this morning one of the assistants was advising a colleague that VS19 was fairly heavily overbooked and that there would be around 10 downgrades.

Perhaps someone can pick up a few extra miles or something.

Do you know which cabin was overbooked, and what forms of compensation were they going to offer? I think extra miles and partial (full maybe) refunds would have kept the unfortunate ones happy.

Accourding the ExpertFlyer, both J and W are completely full with half a dozen seats left in Y.

I fly SFO to LHR often and the planes always seem full (particularly UC and PE cabins).

With so much advertising and hi-tech business is SFO a prime route to get a second daily flight or at least an extra flight every other day?

I know that this depends a lot on other factors out of VS's control but any thoughts

Or it might be one of the first routes to use the A380?

I'm with Bazz on this. The 380 is made for that route.

Chuck,
Wouldn't the reason simply be overbooking of J/W?
and welcome Figuar!
