Hey all,

I'll be taking my first UC flight from JHB later this year. Can anyone tell me what facilities are available at the JHB Clubhouse? The VS website has very little info. Do they do meals, cocktails, treatments, etc???

Thanks

The JNB Clubhouse is one of the very best Clubhouses. I've only been once, but cannot wait to go back.

I posted my pictures in the gallery,

and did a review here:

Thanks,

Was thinking of a SA trip next year, but put off Jo'burg as it seems to be a bit scary at the moment, for Western white folk like myself.. I've been given advice to stick to CPT/south coast.

(Posting from Jo'Burg) Well when we were in CPT in Sept Mrs D went walkies outside of the Sheraton and pootled back pretty pronto when converged upon from several directions. Hotel doormen were stood in a line ready to spring to her defence if needed. Here in Sandton advice is "don't walk the streets". So as ever it's know your area.

CPT has a lot to offer. Never tried the CH's in either as VS either not running when needed or too booked for cheap seats ;).

Sandton is a relatively safe area of Jo'burg -- a lot of businesses decamped to the locale from the centre (which had become more or less a no-go area) a few years back. Personally I have never had any trouble whatsoever in many trips to both Jo'burg and Cape Town, but I always do keep out of the dodgy areas in Johannesburg.

Back on topic, the JNB Clubhouse is great. Excellent food, and home to the magic beer that replenishes as if by magic. Internet and showers too, but no treatments a la LHR / LGW.
