"You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen"

With lots of oooh ooooooohs (and that's about as far as we can go with the lyric!).

To some of us, it's just fun, it may even become the gay Virgin aeroplane! [:p]

There really cannot have been one called Morning Glory.

Talking of plane names, do we know what the eBay auction winner decided to call their plane?

I also believe the reg on the 742 that was called Dancing Queen was G-VPUF.

I think its funny.

Morning Glory reg was G-VZZZ which to me remionds me of sleeping and the Morning Glory well that also reminds me of sleeping if you know what I mean.

I think this is funny too.

Virgin really do have the most fun with the naming of their metal.

The original "Dancing Queen" was G-VIBE however following the tragic events of 09/11 she was renamed "Spirit of New York".

PUF was "High As A Kite"... Wonder if that's a reference to what "aircraft naming committee" were puffing on? ;)

Yay - I got to fly on the Dancing Queen yesterday/today as VS 10 which is the last flight back from JFK to London.

Sad to report that there is no disco gilter ball a the door to welcome you on, nor do they play Abba as background music when you board. Has the bearded one missed a trick here?

Interestingly enough, they have more adopted more "white lighting" compared with the more purple (or should I say lavendar) uplighting on previous A340-600.

UCS has the new-style tables like the new suites on the A340-300. A few of the tables are sticking and you need the safety card to "jimmy" it open!

I hope it doesn't start a trend;)
I've always preferred the purple lighting in UC to the white lighting in the rest of the cabin that always seems so "brash"[:(!]

It could just be the "mood" as set by the crew. It's possible to put the lighting into a predominantly "white" mode.

Cheers,
Mike

G-VWIN has got the new Y design seats. They are so much nicer, with a better location for the IFE handset. No more accidental call bells![V]
