Makes it pretty obvious ( again) that the business market is the focus - otherwise there would be plans for a lounge at Manchester - which I assume will be a long time coming seeing as it is really only a B&S route!!

Makes sense - there was a CH at BOS a number of years ago before they moved terminals.

Thanks,
Richard

With only a maximum 14 Upper class passengers a day from MAN (except the weekly Barbados when its max 28) it doesn't make much sense to invest in a Clubhouse, especially when Virgin spends so much on its lounges! As routes increase from MAN then the business case will get stronger... but for the moment I think there are other airports that would get much more use out of a new lounge.

So double daily to BOS is on the cards, we must add that to the threads on future routes. A CH at BOS is a fantastic idea, I missed the old one and because it's such a short flight the availability of a meal and comfort pre boarding is very much to be appreciated.

LOL, I have to say that it makes me laugh to think I was under the impression the BOS Lounge was still a secret and had to keep stopping myself from giving the good news on here... but it appears someones let it slip to the US press!!! [:w]

I can't wait, even though I'll probably never experience it, it's cool to see the wonderful things VS puts in their new clubhouses.

This is terrific news, as is the prospect of more flights out of Logan. I'm puzzled about where the new lounge will be located as the NW is GF at the opposite end of the terminal from the VS gate (well sort of--ground floor by elevator/lift only post/security) and very dark and dim--and boring. I think there is expansion room at that level but it would be wonderful (if it is ground floor) to be able to pop up somewhere around the actual VS gate to board.

Actually, don't see how that could work as the closest thing to that gate (8A?) is the ladies' rest room.

hmmm...if I were SRB where would I put a lounge? Also, as we have dreadful winters I think this lounge would be an excellent site for a hot tub/jacuzzi, just to relax the strain of being cold. And a nice long bar which serves food (lots of local seafood!) and drink (including blue ones and CA wines?) lovely enough to enjoy snooze zone. Terminal E is nearly hopeless in terms of amenities (best food post security is the seaweed salad in the food court), so a nice lounge would be most welcome. Can VS wrastle a few rounds with Massport to get free WIFI???? :D

Whoops one more comment--VBen, anything else you know about plans--share. And re press--interestingly the only press that seem to have picked this up are the Herald-hardly mainstream coverage. Was there a PR session? I think this is big news for Massport--would think they would be v. happy and loud.

I'd like to see VS combine their typical flamboyant/fun/modern style with the good old New England charm:D

RR - wouldn't hold your breath on all those features ;). LHR has sufficient flights to justify it....

I'll be glad to see a CH at BOS the NW lounge isnt a reflection of the VS brand - I'm looking forward to seeing the NZ Lax lounge as that seems a better partner lounge fit.
