VH - Spelt my name wrong!

Hi

I am very excited about going on holiday next week and even more excited about going to the cricket world cup next year!

My husband booked our trip through VH but when I looked at our booking to allocate my seats I noticed they had spelt my name as Leslie Anne instead of Lesley Anne.

I tried to change the details online using the VH Manage your flights but the price went up by £200, it appeared that I had lost my frequent virgin discount after I made the change.

Needless to save when given the option of saving these changes I didn't and my husband is going to speak to them tonight. Will I be charged for making this change?

What are other people experiences, should we expect to be charged?? The husband is adament that he won't accept a charge for changing the name.

Cheers
Lesley

Hi there Lesley - good to hear that you are excited bout your trip.

Im assuming you mean VS ( Virgin Atlantic) rather than VH ( Virgin Holidays)?

Check out this thread from a while back where the topic is discussed in detail - it appears that there can be up to three letters wrong - but as some say its probaly a good idea to inform VS before you go.

When I went to Boston with VH we had a name spelt incorrectly, I just phoned the Call Centre and the booking was amended and reissued, no problem, no charge. Tickets came through OK too.
