Hi guys

Impressive site![y]

We are real 'virgins' flying MAN - MCO for the first time with Virgin. Have been many times on charter but as we are 'treating' the parents this year we are looking for a better service.

As I am a mere mortal (and paying for the parents) we have booked economy seats.

I have perused 'seat guru' and the forums here and found tons of advice on PE & UC seats, however there doesn't seem to be much advice available for E.

Without getting something for nothing ( I wish), which seats would you recommend for 5 people (3 + 2 'olds'!)?

Cheers!

HI Mark,

elcome to the site - we are al here to help whenerver we can and there is a great deal of information already posted.

First port of call is to have a look here in the seat ratings as this will let you know what seats are good and where they are on any particular aircraft - as you are flying from Manchester it is pretty likely that you will be on a 744 LGW/MAN Suites aircaft.:D

You can aslo look through the Trip Reports for flights from MAN to MCO and using the search facility is good for that.[y]

Have fun

Personally, if travelling in Y on a LGW/MAN 744, I like the "mini cabin" formed by rows 21, 22 & 23. You are amongst the first people in Y to get served for food & drink, plus you are off the plane very fast at your destination (often ahead of UCS / downstairs PE if they use door L2).

I don't think the seats in this area are available for pre-assignment via OLCI - you can only get them at the airport on the day. The only warning about this mini-cabin is that row 21 is where VS often seat families with babies - you may not get the quietest flight in this cabin.

Thanks guys, this gives me a starting point for planning the first part of our holiday. I will check out the links to TR's and seatplans for reviews on seats in E. sorry 'Y' [:I] (I'll get used to it soon.. does anybody get used to predictive text?)

I know where to come if I get stuck!

Cheers! [y]
