SQ Codeshare No Longer?

Ahhhh, my master plan may have gone arye. IAD-SIN on VS then use the last of my UA miles on NZ for a UC (or whatever they call it) to New Zealand and Australia. On the way back, stop in at the airshow.

Where is the VS codeshare on SQ? I don't see it on EF and I called VS but the agent says the flights are not in the system but is happy to book my IAD-LHR-HKG then SQ to SIN for about triple the price. I would do HKG then on NZ but that cost more and this is turning into a priniple thing (well until I break down and book HKG).

My whole point of flying on the codeshare is is for the lower thur fare IAD-LON-SIN and access to the CH.

Currently on the phone with the folks in the UK. They are confused as the agent booked a bunch of peeps on the codeshare last week and does not recall a change in the codeshare agreement.

Sounds like a mix up--SQ are certainly still codeshare with VS--and, interestingly, so apparently is.... US Airlines!

Yea - That is the hope. $1150 ($1400 w/ tax) IAD-LHR-SIN-LHR-IAD is not a bad deal but $3500 is too much, aleast for me.

Just a pet peeve but it is US Airways. Just a pet peeve, nothing personal.

Ok. Call the UK Gold line and spoke with a nice gentleman.

He said the codeshare is probably no longer and he remembers getting a memo about the codeshare ending. He seams pretty sure the SQ codeshare is no longer and that it was not a system error.

So I am SOL or pay $400 and fly VS to HKG and take NZ from there or maybe book a GE.

Comments welcome.

-------

Called again after reading someother stuff online. Now the female UK agent I spoke with thinks it maybe an error and sent a message to the department that handles this matter. I planned today to sort out my new job when I finish up college and my summer travels. The whole summer travel thing is not working out but got an accounting job.

I just want to book a flight and pay my money.............

Hmm - this news article from last month talks of the code share (in business class) being expanded onto some of Virgin's flights to the US and the flights from MAN/LHR to SIN continuing to be codeshared...

All very confusing!

I saw that too. Good point Seppy. I mentioned that to the agent and she said she saw a memo about it. I asked if there was anything in J but she said the VS codeshares on SQ would not show at all in the system. There are many VS codeshare publicly published fare ex-BOS,JFK,IAD to SIN via LHR.

Sorry, but this makes no sense--VS have been quite publically promoting SQ codeshare and the USAIR codeshare is now on the website which, quite recently updated, also shows this

{mcuth: edited to shorten link}

So called the UK number on my card on Monday and told they briefed on the SQ codeshare issue. Was told to call back same time tomorrow and check but the flights should be in the systems in 48 hours time (Wednesday June 7, 7AM Central US Time).

Called Tuesday and told that it will be Thursday sometime......

Well my plan was to go to Australia and New Zealand in the winter months; maybe not the greatest idea but anyway. If it is not resolved by tomorrow and I am told Friday or longer I will simply go to DXB on VS.

RR: Thanks for saying US Air. Just a pet peeve. Look forward to your GE TRs. Have you ever been to Durgin Park?

So the codeshare is now bookable. Wonder why it was down in the first place?

So can a FC Gold to use the VS CH when flying SQ in any class?
