Hi all,
Is it possible to pre-book exit row seats or can you only request these at the airport when checking in?
Thx

It's only possible to request them at the airport I'm afraid Andy. (Subject to the appropriate "exit row charge", of course

I thought it now depended on the route? I remember a staffer posting recently that it was £75 for west coast, or something similar...?

I think is now £50 for 10 hour flight, or something like that.
They do offer a 'buy one get one free' deal on the seats where the shape of the door cuts into the leg room, though.
See
this thread about the same subject.

Out of interest, do they charge for the exit row seats in Y if you are FC AU or AG?
I know American Airlines allow their "elite" Frequent Flyers travelling in Y to reserve exit row seats free of charge in advance. Any that are left over are available at the airport on the day on a first come, first served basis (and free too).

Yes they do.
Same applies though, re: empty ones. If not enough people buy them, they're issued for free.
Problem is, these days, there are always people willing to pay, I believe.
