PE Row 70 (Exit) - Paid for?

Dean and I are currently in the JFK clubhouse, flying PE on the 46. We managed to get row 70 for us at checkin, and I asked the CH receptionist if the other two were available for parents. She told me that to move them will cost $75 each!

I thought there was a charge in Y for bulkhead and exit row seats but there wasn't in PE - just wondering if I was wrong.

Also got to say, not impressed with the staff here so far! We arrived ok, took a seat and was waiting nearly 15mins before anyone came to take an order - we didn't see any staff for the first ten mins, and since then the staff have been very thin on the ground. But apart from that it is a v.nive CH - and i've managed to piggy back onto the Swiss Air Wi-Fi next door too.

As far as I know, there's no charge for PE Exit seats. [:0]

Mat - I've had both exits and bulkheads in PE. Never had to pay and as you say should only be in Y.

Hope you can sort things out - I would check again if I was you. Why should she charge for your parents but not for you and Dean!

Thanks for the info guys. Thats what we thought too.
Fozzyo is trying to get it sorted again.

OT - the staffing is not quite as good in the past, but the Black Bean soup and the Scallops are still great [:p]

Cheers!

Dean

We were once asked to pay £50 each at LGW check-in. After trying to reason with the check-in lady and failing, she was not going to budge from her position even though her body language said she knew she was on a sticky wicket, I thanked her and said we wouldn't bother. When we got to the CH I asked again and they moved us to the PE exit row with no charge and no hassle!
